**Witness: 14-Year-Old Third Girl Charged in West Louisville Shooting That Injured Two Teen Girls**
A 14-year-old girl has been identified and charged as the third suspect in a West Louisville shooting that left two teenage girls injured, authorities confirmed Monday. The incident, which took place over the weekend, has sent shockwaves through the community and raised new concerns about youth violence in the city.
According to Louisville Metro Police, the shooting occurred late Saturday evening near the 3400 block of River Park Drive. Witnesses reported an altercation involving several teenagers before gunfire erupted. Two girls, ages 13 and 15, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Investigators quickly identified two suspects, both teenage girls, who were taken into custody shortly after the incident. The third suspect—also a 14-year-old girl—was located later with the help of eyewitness accounts and surveillance footage. She was arrested and has been charged with assault and possession of a firearm by a minor. Due to her age, her identity has not been released to the public.
