A former Alabama LB coach, is hired as a defensive coordinator……..

Bala brings a total of 15 years of coaching experience, including spells with the Oakland Raiders, Southern Utah, and Ottawa University.

Arizona, Palomar College, and Snow Junior College, to the position that former Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban filled in

February of last year. In the past, he worked as a defensive coordinator at Palomar and Southern Utah.

When Bala was hired, head coach Nick Saban remarked, “Robert is a smart young coach who has paid his dues across all levels of

college football and we are excited to add him to our staff.” “He’s a seasoned professional with a track record of developing football

players off the field as well as on it. He is a very skilled educator, a superb recruiter, and a passionate coach.

On Tuesday, Jay Lindsey was recognized as the AISA lineman of the year.

Lindsey, a 2024 tight end out of Butler, Alabama’s Patrician Academy, has signed with Alabama. Although he has the ability to surpass

his high school rating, he is rated as a three-star recruit by several recruiting services.

The top offensive or defensive lineman in a classification usually receives the Lineman of the Year award each year. The Alabama

signee’s contributions as an edge defender and tight end blocker most likely helped him win the honor.

The in-state prospect is a strong and commanding tight end blocker. Additionally, he has a good vertical that enables him to ascend

and descend contested
