Fouch comes to the Hogs from Missouri State, where he was the Bears’ recruiting coordinator in addition to his roles as co-offensive
coordinator and running backs coach. Jacardia Wright, a transfer from Kansas State, led the Bears’ running attack for the second
straight season in 2023. Wright finished with a team-high 696 yards on 147 runs and six touchdowns. Wright, one of seven Bears
selected to the All-Missouri Valley Conference team, placed second on the team after ranking seventh in the conference in both all-
purpose yards per game (96.7 ypg) and running yards per game (69.6 ypg). Fouch co-led one of the strongest attacks in the Football
Championship Subdivision with offensive coordinator Nick Petrino, and the Bears finished in the top 10 nationally in a number of
categories.
Fouch has now worked with offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino three times in his career, the most recent being in Arkansas. Fouch
was a member of Petrino’s staff at Missouri State, where he served as the Bears’ co-special teams coordinator and running backs
coach. He also worked for Petrino for three seasons as an offensive quality control analyst at Louisville.
Fouch rapidly developed Wright into one of the MVC’s top running backs in 2022. Wright ran for 711 yards and nine touchdowns on
156 carries, good for All-Newcomer Team recognition in the league. He gained over 700 yards of running for the Bears, a feat not
accomplished since 2014. He also placed among the top 10 in seven key Valley categories. In addition, Fouch oversaw the Bears’
special teams, which were captained by All-America punter Grant Burkett and included kicker Jose Pizano, long snapper Caden Bolz,
and returner Montrae Braswell as All-MVFC picks.
