Bishop, a former UA defensive back, is going to UNLV.
LaDarrius Bishop, a former defensive back for the Razorbacks, appears to be planning to move to Las Vegas as he updated his profile
picture on Monday with an image of “UNLV” sewed into a gray cloth.
Ashdown native Bishop, a senior with one more year of eligibility, saw limited action outside of special teams in 2023 following a
difficult season due to injury.
Bishop would be joining a select group of former Razorbacks who were hired by the Rebels in their second season under head coach
Barry Odom, who was Coach Sam Pittman’s defensive coordinator at Arkansas for three years.
Malik Chavis, an in-state prospect from Rison, and Jalen Catalon, an All-American freshman from Arkansas who moved to Texas
before the 2023 season, both signed with UNLV earlier this month.
The 2023 squad featured former Hogs Jackson Woodard and Jordan Hanna at linebacker, under defensive coordinator and former
coach of the Arkansas linebackers, Michael Scherer.
Bishop, who was mostly employed in 2023 as a punt team gunner, only recorded three tackles this season compared to 56 in his first
four seasons of play with the Razorbacks.
