After much anticipation, Finlay Gorman appears to have finalized his transfer from Leeds United to Premier League winners
Manchester City. The teenage sensation shared the news on Instagram.
Gorman, 15, has joined Pep Guardiola’s team following an incredible 2023–24 campaign. Man City was impressed with the teenage
Gorman’s remarkable performance for Leeds’ U16 and U18 teams after seeing him light up social media.
He has already made five Premier League appearances for the U18 team, contributing to three goals, and City has made the decision to
transfer. Although Liverpool and Tottenham had expressed interest as well, City had paid £5 million.
After switching from his childhood club to City, Gorman posted a heartfelt tribute to Leeds and the team’s employees on Instagram
last month. There is a great chance that he thinks he just could not pass up.
In his most recent Instagram post, the England U16 star said he was “delighted” and included pictures of himself signing a contract
while wearing Manchester City gear. Gorman was formally at City then.
