SANTA CLARA, California (NWO) – Tucker Kraft of Timber Lake had a decent rookie season, but the Green Bay Packers ran out of
magic in their playoff run on Saturday night, losing 24-21 to San Francisco on a last-minute touchdown.
The former SDSU player scored his first-ever postseason touchdown, which at the time placed San Francisco ahead 21-14 in the third
quarter and very certainly proved to be the game-winning touchdown.
Tucker’s season-long reception total of 36 catches for 379 yards and three touchdowns this season combined his postseason and
regular season numbers. This occurred mostly in the second half of the season, since Luke Musgrave, a fellow rookie, saw most of the
throws in the first eight games until an
was also well-known for his pass protection and run blocking.
Tucker won over the fans with ease and left a lasting impression on both head coach Matt LaFleur and his teammates.
The Packers, with Kraft included, are the youngest team to win a postseason game since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970, thus their
future appears to be bright.
Though that news might not sit well with some Vikings supporters back in Tucker’s home state!
