After just one game in Week 15, the losing team sacked both its general manager and coach due to the overwhelming
outcome.
After falling to the AFC West rival Las Vegas Raiders 63-21 at Allegiant Stadium, it didn’t seem like the Los Angeles
Chargers (5-9) had much of an option.
Thirty seconds into the fourth quarter, the Raiders squad that had been shut out the week before led 63-7. At the
half, the score was 42-0. Jakobi Meyers caught one touchdown pass and completed another as Aidan O’Connell
threw four touchdowns. Moreover, Las Vegas scored two touchdowns on defense.
The starting quarterback for the Chargers, Justin Herbert, who underwent surgery earlier in the week to repair a
fractured finger on his throwing hand, was not available.
While he attempts to become the first wide receiver in NFL history to record 2,000 yards receiving in a season, many
people will be keeping a close eye on Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins (ankle). The choice is probably going to be
postponed until Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, when the Dolphins visit the New York Jets.
Two AFC playoff contenders will be without their starting quarterbacks in other situations. Kenny Pickett (ankle) of
the Pittsburgh Steelers and rookie sensation C.J. Stroud (concussion) of the Houston Texans will not play. For the
Minnesota Vikings, there is conflicting news. Although wide receiver Justin Jefferson (chest) is listed as
questionable, he insists he will play. Running back Alexander Mattison (ankle) is out.
