Football Transfers can report that Aston Villa and Manchester United are interested in signing Lille striker Jonathan David during the
January transfer window.
Due to Rasmus Hojlund’s ongoing troubles this season, the Red Devils are trying to add another striker during the transfer window.
After making a large-scale transfer from Serie A, the former Atalanta striker has only managed one Premier League goal this season.
The most recent player to be connected to United is the Canadian forward David, as they look to bolster their roster during this
month’s transfer window.
David has declared himself willing to leave Lille, and a deal might be concluded in the coming weeks with either Manchester United or
Villa, who are both interested in signing a center-forward with his kind of skill set.
Erik ten Hag’s squad has scored the fewest goals of any team in the top half of the Premier League, and they have struggled with
scoring all season. If this issue is not resolved during the January transfer window, United’s season might be utterly destroyed.
David was considered by United as a replacement for Harry Kane over the summer, when the England captain left for Bayern Munich
due to financial difficulties.
Aston Villa is now seeking to provide Ollie Watkins, a striker.
