This was as wonderful as it gets as far as early Christmas presents go.
Few could have predicted that a team as talented as Ipswich Town would lose 4-0.
Leeds were excellent from the first whistle to the last and, to be honest, they should have won by a larger margin.
That demonstrates just how good United were, especially in light of how outstanding the Tractor Boys have been this
season.
The forward players were all on fire, producing opportunity after opportunity at a pace that the visitors were unable
to handle.
The only thing the attackers might have lacked was a goal for Georginio Rutter, who is always bright.
This victory will help Daniel Farke’s team recover somewhat after two poor performances in the previous two games,
which will help them prepare for two challenging away games.
Although Preston North End has struggled recently, they possess the tools to defeat any Championship team on their
day.
United will be anticipating
Whoa! We all desired the identical Christmas present! An amazing performance with great finishing that gave the
impression that Ipswich was pretty average.
My only concern was that, as their frustration level increased, it seemed they were determined to make a fool of us
and that they should have received much more than the four yellow cards they eventually received.
From start to finish, the performance was flawless; Leeds applied constant pressure, making the best scorers in the
division, who normally play free-flowing football, eat up the occasional skirmish. They had two good chances to score
in the first half but missed both, and had nothing in the second.
Leeds stopped their opponents from obtaining a single corner kick for the second straight game; it was a
commanding performance and another clear declaration of purpose.
Now, it’s crucial to support this outcome with a victory.
Preston has only won two of their previous seven games, continuing their poor form following a strong start to the
season.
Let’s put more pressure on those Tractor Boys, Leeds! Come on!
Man of the match: It’s difficult to pick a favorite because they were all so good.

This season, there won’t be many afternoons as wonderful as the one that saw a full house at Elland Road on
Saturday. Leeds completed the double over the Suffolk team by thrashing second-place Ipswich Town 4-0.
Leeds took the lead in less than ten minutes after dominating the opening frame.
After Pascal Struijk brilliantly saved Joel Piroe’s header from a corner, the rebound found its way to the far post. Leif
Davis’ own goal of redirecting Crysencio Summerville’s cross past Václav Hladky gave them a two goal advantage.
Before the half, Davis upended Summerville, and the winger unexpectedly converted the penalty and beat the
Ipswich keeper with ease.
They led 4-0 after just seven minutes of play. Piroe took advantage of a rebound to end their guests’ terrible
afternoon.
No athlete could be faulted for putting on a show.
In order to give some of the starters a break before a difficult stretch culminates with a Boxing Day match at Preston,
Daniel Farke made effective use of his replacements.
In theory, Leeds could only be four points behind second place if they win three points at Deepdale on Tuesday when
they play Ipswich against Leicester City in the late kickoff.
Man of the match: Much kudos to everyone of them.

Elland Road saw an early Christmas. An aim from a tight angle. an individual objective. A penalty was given and
converted. a disorganized end result. a blank slate. everything the product of an amazing collective effort, but
everything typically lacking from Leeds’ outings.
It would be unjust to single out one standout performer, but Pascal Struijk should be quite proud of himself for his
strong showing in his biggest game as captain to date, which was capped off with a goal and a clean sheet.
It is noteworthy that Ipswich Town
And with 20 minutes left, the substitution of all of their best and most crucial players suggested accepting the
outcome.
All of United’s replacements easily integrated into the squad, which is encouraging for upcoming matches and gives
us the chance to rest our star players.
Boxing Day’s match excites me because Leeds can go to Preston North End with a lot of confidence and, if they can
replicate their performance from Saturday, I absolutely expect three more points.
The game’s MVP is Pascal Struijk.

Leeds United supporters were in excellent voice, despite the wind swirling over Elland Road.
For almost eight minutes, the supporters of Ipswich Town who were seated at the upper deck of the West Stand were
doing alright!
The Ipswich team and their supporters were devastated by what transpired next, as United dominated their guests
virtually entirely.
Joel Piroe got things going by heading a cross from a corner towards Vaclav Hladky’s outstretched arm, which he
could only parry in the direction of Pascal Struijk, who headed it in.
Crysencio Summerville then unleashed his signature frantic run. Piroe was yelling for the ball, but Leif Davis
deflected the diminutive Dutchman’s devastating cut back into his own net.
The former Leeds player’s fate was to get worse when he turned the irrepressible Summerville inside the penalty
area.
The Leeds supporters were ecstatic when Crysencio scored from the penalty shortly before halftime.
Seven minutes later, Piroe rightly added a fourth goal to heighten the celebration, allowing his teammates to win
with ease as they maintained possession and frustrated the uninformed opposition.
Ethan Ampadu was the man of the contest.
