JUST IN: Raiders player discusses dealing with a knee injury………..

Maxx Crosby, a pass rusher for the Las Vegas Raiders and Pro Bowler, gave an explanation of his decision to play in

Sunday’s home game against the 6-6 Minnesota Vikings despite a nagging knee ailment on Friday’s episode of

NFL+’s “The Insiders” show.

According to Kevin Patra of the NFL website, Crosby stated, “If I’m able and have a heartbeat, I’m going to be out

there with my brothers and try to go get a win.”

Despite being labeled as doubtful for the game, Crosby participated in the 31-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on

November 26 that preceded Las Vegas’ bye. After losing, he disclosed that he fought through “some infections” and

even spent some time in the hospital before

Despite being just “like 60 percent” healthy, according to Crosby, he managed to record a sack in the Chiefs game.

With 11.5 sacks this season, he is tied for sixth in the NFL going into the weekend, according to ESPN data.

Raiders-Vikings Second Week 14 Injury Report Released

The ESPN Football Power Index assigned the 5-7 Raiders a 0.9% chance to qualify for the postseason as of early

Friday night. If Crosby is cleared medically to play against Minnesota, that alone is reason enough.

Las Vegas was pegged as a 2.5-point underdog against the Vikings on Friday by oddschecker. Given that the Raiders

are virtually in a must-win situation on Sunday, it doesn’t sound like Crosby needs any additional motivation

heading into the game.
