Full back veteran The Detroit Lions’ Jason Cabinda made a successful return from injured reserve ahead of their Week 17 game against the Dallas Cowboys. However, his comeback was fleeting.
One day after Cabinda was activated, on December 29, the Lions announced that he was being waived. The kicker Michael Badgley was then added by the Lions to the active roster from their practice squad in a comparable move.
Cabinda has been a member of the Lions for the last five seasons. He switched from linebacker to full back during that time.
Cabinda made three appearances for the Lions this season.
On December 29, the Lions signed offensive lineman Michael Schofield and released defensive lineman Chris Smith off the practice squad.
