The Kansas City Chiefs’ victory in the Super Bowl signifies the official end of the NFL season. It’s time to start focusing on the NFL
Draft now that the season is finished. Bleacher Report projects that the Los Angeles Rams will select Alabama cornerback Kool-Aid
McKinstry in the first mock draft following the big game.
According to scout Cory Giddings of Bleacher Report, McKinstry is a long cornerback with the versatility to play in both man and zone
coverage. “He uses his long arms well when in the press and working down the field.” “He can move receivers downfield quickly, and
he does a great job of dropping his hips while exiting breaks. The Rams should seize the chance to choose the gifted McKinstry, who
has been at or near the top of the cornerback rankings this cycle.”
The rookie cornerback shares a similar physique with former Ram Jalen Ramsey, which has evaluators taking notice. At 6 feet 1 inch
and 195 pounds, he is a large cornerback who possesses the physicality to match the speed of receivers.
The secondary needs to be addressed before the new season begins, regardless of whether the team chooses to sign a player in free
agency or choose someone with their 19th overall selection. McKinstry might be a very interesting possibility for the Rams to consider
with their first-round selection.
