Despite their lackluster showing in September and October, the Green Bay Packers have managed to secure a Wild
Card playoff position in the NFC.
They won’t be at their best for their final four regular season games, though, because they’re hurt.
Aaron Jones, a running back, has only appeared in seven games this season due to an MCL injury that has kept him
out of action for about a month.
Ari Meirov reports that AJ Dillon, the other member of the Packers’ tag-team backfield tandem, has acknowledged
that he suffered a thumb break late in the team’s Monday night loss to the New York Giants.
Dillon might therefore be unable to play on Sunday when the Green Bay Packers take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
who are vying for the top spot in the NFC South.
Jones, meanwhile, returned to practice on Thursday and plans to play in another game on Sunday.
Before Monday’s disheartening loss to the Giants, who are on the rise, the Packers, who are 6-7, had won four of
their previous five games. They are very much in the running for the playoffs in December.
A first-time starter in his fourth season in the NFL, quarterback Jordan Love may be finding his footing on the field.
They also have some exciting young wide outs in Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs.
Due to a hamstring issue, Watson’s status for Sunday’s game is still unknown.
The Packers’ remaining regular season games include games against the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and
Carolina Panthers after this weekend.
