After fighting a shoulder issue this week, wide receiver Deebo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers talked about how hard he’s going to
push himself against the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday.
Samuel’s injury kept him out of much of the 49ers’ Divisional Round victory over the Green Bay Packers. The 49ers were uncertain at
the beginning of this week, whether Samuel would be able to participate in the NFC Championship Game. Samuel didn’t attend
practice on Wednesday, but he showed up on Thursday. Samuel was cleared to play against the Lions on Friday by the 49ers, who
removed him from the injury report.
Samuel was expected to feature, if only in a limited role, against the Lions by many supporters and analysts. Samuel could have been
made active by the 49ers to function as a ruse against the Lions’ defense.
The 49ers of San Francisco want to deploy Samuel as usual.
Brenna White of the NFL website reports that Samuel stated he had no intention of shielding his shoulder from the Lions. Samuel
declared that he would be prepared to risk his life to give the 49ers another chance to win the Super Bowl:
Samuel stated, “In a game like this, everything has to be on the line.” “For the past five years, we have spent four of them here. We lost
three years in a row, and then we lost in the Super Bowl one year. Kind of like, how long will it take? This facility seems to have
everything we could possibly need. We are aware of the stakes; therefore,, we are all hands on deck.
The 49ers may have a more important match to attend.
Samuel exudes confidence that the Lions won’t exploit him as a ruse. Samuel has to be as close to normal as possible for the 49ers
offense on Sunday. When Samuel was on the bench for a large portion of the Packers game, quarterback Brock Purdy found it difficult
to find throwing targets.
Attending the Super Bowl is crucial. And to get the 49ers to Las Vegas in February, Samuel could be required. But Samuel must also be
available for the 49ers to play in the Super Bowl, should they go that far. On Sunday, the 49ers must pray that Samuel’s shoulder
