Former Penrith Panthers and Cowboys player Taylan May has been in the news recently after his arrest following a police foot chase. The incident occurred when May allegedly breached an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO). Police were called to an area in New South Wales after reports of this breach, which led to the chase and his subsequent arrest. May, a 23-year-old winger, was charged with contravening the ADVO and taken to Penrith Police Station.

This is not the first legal issue involving May; earlier in 2024, he was charged with domestic violence-related offences, including assault occasioning actual bodily harm. These charges came after an incident where he allegedly punched a woman known to him during an argument. The charges have resulted in May being stood down from the NRL under the no-fault policy, and he is currently awaiting further court proceedings.

Despite his legal troubles, May has been involved in volunteer work, assisting a disabled rugby league team. His legal battles have brought his professional future into question, especially with the ongoing cases【8†source】【9†source】【10†source】.
