Jordan Love’s timely jump allowed the Packers to surpass expectations this season even after Aaron Rodgers was dealt to the New

York Jets. The ultimate consequence is an unexpected postseason run that was cut short due to several errors the club committed in

that pivotal game in addition to the 49ers.

Although Green Bay dominated the most of the game, Anders Carlson and Love made several serious errors in the last two minutes.

The Packers now have an opportunity to improve, either through the draft or by signing free players who can assist them achieve their

objective, after losing out on the playoffs.

Darnell Savage is expected to stay with the Green Bay Packers but two important players are set to enter free agency.

The Packers will need to restructure their roster in addition to the draft by deciding which players to keep and which ones to go. Based

on an analysis conducted by Rob Demovsky:

The young Packers don’t have many unsigned free agents who need to be signed; guard Jon Runyan and running back AJ Dillon will

most likely need to look for other employment. However, Darnell Savage could be one to come back. The Packers, who may need to

find two new starting safety if Savage is not brought back, would likely prefer that the 2019 first-round selection, who has been

commended for his leadership and communication abilities, return. In 10 regular season games, he racked up 51 tackles, and he also

had a crucial pick-six in Green Bay’s wild card game.

Given that Dillon and Runyan didn’t play a major role in the team’s success this season, it only makes sense for the Packers to let them

go. However, given that Savage has established himself as a good leader and contributor to the Packers’ success, an extension is

considered as essential.

It remains to be seen what actions the Packers will take throughout the summer. One thing is for sure: the franchise will be active

participants in the draft both before and after it to add additional talent to the team. Green Bay will be busy in the upcoming months

leading up to the start of the new season, nonetheless.
