After making his debut with the Phoenix Suns on March 20, where he recorded an assist and missed his only shot in two minutes of
garbage time, five-foot-nine messiah Isaiah Thomas is not expected to be a rotation mainstay at this point in his career, according to
Brian Robb of MassLive.

“Thomas ended up playing in two minutes, putting up one assist while going 0-for-1 from the field,” Robb stated. “As anticipated,
Thomas is unlikely to establish himself as a rotation mainstay at this stage of his career. However, he can still obtain buckets fast and
contribute a lot behind the scenes.”
Robb believes that Thomas is more of an experienced locker room presence, whose knowledge and expertise serve as
Robb said, “One of Thomas’s assets may also be his experience in the locker room. He has participated in many NBA games and has
been a valued member of every team he has played for. During the 2014–15 season, Thomas was a player for Phoenix, but he was
traded to the Celtics shortly after.

Numerous teams will be vying to sign Boston’s role players if the Celtics succeed this spring. The players with the greatest cash-out
potential are Xavier Tillman and Luke Kornet, but don’t rule out Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk or perhaps J.D. Davison receiving better offers
elsewhere.
As a veteran, Thomas would cost more, but he would also be a great asset for the team as a ring chaser the next season. When Thomas
returned to the G-League in early March, it was clear that he loved the team, even if he never played a minute.
