84-year-old former Leeds United player passes away…..

It has been reported that Ian Lawson, a former forward for Burnley and Leeds United, has unfortunately gone away at the age of 84.

Prior to spending a few years in Burnley’s first team, Lawson first rose via the Burnley youth. He then joined Leeds.

A true fan favorite at both clubs, Burnley broke the tragic news of Lawson’s passing yesterday, honoring him prior to their Premier

League match against Liverpool.

In addition, Lawson played for Barnsley and Port Vale. He is survived by his son Michael, daughter Sharon, and wife Maureen.

Wednesday, February 21, 2024, the Wakefield Coroner’s Office is requesting assistance.

The family of Malcolm Wilkinson, 74, of Stonegate Green, Leeds, LS7 2TQ, who passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024, is also

being sought after.

An appeal is also being filed on behalf of 75-year-old Wilfred Tuffrey of Firville Crescent, Normanton, WF6 1PW, who passed away on

Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
