In our seats, we were laying sideways. We were stunned into silence for a little moment. I then asked my wife if she was okay, looking directly into her eyes. Lorenzo M. said to the Italian news organization L’Unione Sarda, “She nodded.”

The pair managed to escape the car by squeezing out from between the seats.

“We believed we were in hell when we emerged,” Lorenzo continued.

Black smoke rises from the burning Ferrari, and onlookers are gathering next to the damaged Lamborghini and the overturned campervan. An ambulance crew is also on the scene.

While the inquiry is ongoing, the authorities have seized the remnants of the three automobiles.

The supercars were traveling through the South Sardinian municipality of San Giovanni Suergiu on the 195 Sulcitana state route.

According to the Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera, the pair driving the Ferrari had left Forte Village and was traveling towards Mores on that particular day.

The Sardinia Supercar Experience event began in Teulada and was scheduled to conclude in Olbia, with all of the owners of the expensive automobiles reportedly participating, according to the Italian media.

Participants spend a couple days touring the island in ostentatious vehicles, stopping at scenic vantage points, and spending the night in upscale hotels.

If visitors drive themselves, the total cost of the trip is £10,409. For £21,515 you can rent a Ferrari SF90 from the organizer for a few days.
