WSVN: MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. present-giving season is here, and the Miami Dolphins gave a sizable present to
numerous Miami Garden schools.
In an effort to improve children’ educational opportunities, the Miami Dolphins and City of Miami Gardens
Councilman Reggie Leon provided 300 gently used TVs to six Miami Gardens schools.
“This demonstrates our unity,” Leon remarked. “Because we live in the same neighborhood, it teaches the kids to
keep giving back even after they succeed.”
Carol City Senior High School student Christina McDermott expressed her appreciation for the kind donations.
“It’s a great day when the Chiefs and the Dolphins come together, and greatness recognizes greatness,” she
remarked.
When the flat-screens arrived
This specific school intends to establish a gaming studio. Scholarships for gaming are now available, so it’s critical
that our city’s youth get the resources they require as we train TVs and advance into the technological age, added
Leon.
The Miami Dolphins can carry on with their sustainability project thanks to the donations.
Senior director of community relations for the Miami Dolphins Rashauna Hamilton said, “To do that, when we have
some lightly used televisions, instead of throwing them away, we work with the councilman to identify the schools
and come here and donate them.”
With each TV they watch, pupils can now improve their education.
