REPORT: Meet Liam Coen, The Bears' Latest (Excellent) OC Interview Choice

Is the offensive coordinator position likely to be lost by the Kentucky Wildcats?

Liam Coen will interview with the Chicago Bears to be their new offensive coordinator, according to writer Jonathan Jones of CBS

Sports.

This is the report.

There’s no way to minimize this. It would be devastating for Kentucky to lose their offensive coordinator in January, and it may have

an effect on the excellent high school and transfer portal recruiting class.

Given that he served as the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams in 2022, it is not shocking that NFL teams are showing

interest. From 2018 to 2019, he served as the Rams’ assistant wide receivers coach. In 2020, he was elevated to assistant quarterbacks

coach.

It appears that Coen is amenable to accepting a different position because he is willing to interview. It also begs the question of

whether Coen is more open to considering other positions in light of Mark Stoops’ impending departure for Texas A&M.

In the upcoming days and weeks, this will be something to keep an eye on.
