Head coach Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss have been winning lately. Kiffin added another elite defender on Saturday after
acquiring the third-ranked overall defender via the transfer site yesterday. Tamarion McDonald, a former safety for
the Tennessee Volunteers, has pledged to play for the Rebels.
Old Miss Lands S McDonald Tamarion Through The Transfer Portal
McDonald offers the Rebels a wealth of experience. He totaled 115 tackles, 12 deflections, 4 interceptions, and 1 sack
during his four years at Tennessee. He recorded 40 tackles, four pass deflections, a sack, and an interception in 2023
alone. Kiffin will need this exceptional talent to serve as the cornerstone of his defense. The Rebels are making sure
that they are considered for the conference’s top team as the SEC gets more and more competitive.
They May Not Be Completed
The Rebels would have a successful offseason if no one else signed aboard. But Kiffin isn’t finished yet. Walter Nolen,
the top-ranked transfer portal target, is scheduled to visit Ole Miss shortly; if Kiffin can sign him, it would be a huge
boost to the program. The pitch to other participants gets stronger with each new player that commits, and the
momentum is already there. The Rebels game will be difficult for everyone, even if everyone will be talking about
Georgia, Alabama, and the newcomers Texas and Oklahoma.
Is Lane Kiffin able to maintain the magic? Thus far, this offseason has been exceptional, and hopefully, it will
continue to improve.
