Pittsburgh — After benching Mitch Trubisky in Week 15 against the Indianapolis Colts, the Pittsburgh Steelers are in
dire need of a quarterback.
Mason Rudolph seems to be the Steelers’ starting quarterback for the time being until Kenny Pickett returns from a
high ankle sprain. That anticipated return date isn’t for at least another two weeks, despite his “pushing” for a
quicker comeback.
‘Duck’ Hodges, a former quarterback with the Steelers, has thrown his hat in the ring if he is unable to. Following the
Steelers’ defeat to the Colts, Hodges posted a tweet that left Steelers supporters giddy.
That may be pointing to something else, but the majority of people got exactly what Hodges was saying. In 2019, the
former quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers started six games. As a starter, he had a 3–3 record with five
touchdowns against eight interceptions.
This week, the Steelers will probably hold a quarterback competition to determine who will start, Rudolph or
Trubisky. Perhaps Hodges will even pick up the phone to check if his former mentor has any other options.

Every Change for the Steelers
Pittsburgh — After dropping to 7-7 on the season and losing their third straight game, the Pittsburgh Steelers find
themselves in a difficult situation. And going into Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals, “everything” is up for
change, according to head coach Mike Tomlin. The Steelers are now out of the conference postseason picture and in
last place in the AFC North. Now that they are facing certain defeat, they are examining every aspect of the team,
including coaches, players, and schematics, in an attempt to identify what went wrong. “As I sit here today, I may not
necessarily know the solutions. We would’ve played differently today if I knew the answers. However, I will concede
that the current state of affairs cannot continue,” Tomlin
