Despite playing just two snaps in 2023, the defensive back for the Detroit Lions is running it back. Veteran cornerback Emmanuel
Moseley is making a one-year return to Motown, according to ESPN. Over the last couple of seasons, Moseley has had to contend with
two serious injuries. Moseley had to rehab an ACL tear in his other knee during the 2023 season after rupturing his ACL in 2022. The
soon-to-be 28-year-old was anticipated to contend for the position of opposite cornerback to Cam Sutton during the previous
campaign. The defensive backs group fell short of Aaron Glenn’s defense standards due to injury.
Deshea Townsend was added to the team to assist in enhancing the defensive backs’ performance. The coaching staff has added new
players to the defensive line, therefore Dre Bly and Brian Duker are no longer with the team. “When I get in the room, I tell the young
guys it’s your job to take the starters’ job, and the starters, it’s your job to hold them off,” Townsend told the Free Press. “Coaching
works in the same manner. You have to show yourself every day and make sure you’re giving it your all at every chance. I wouldn’t
expect anything less from them than I would from myself.”
