Officially, the transfer portal became live on Monday, December 4. It’s been anarchy ever since. There have already been a number of

players added to Tennessee football.

The website will remain accessible until January 2. While players must use the portal during the window, they are not required to

select a new school by January 2.

Who, through the gateway, has pledged to attend Tennessee?

Tennessee still hasn’t received any promises via the transfer website.

Vols who have made their way through the portal: Tamarion McDonald, defensive back

For Tenessee in 2023, Tamarion McDonald predicted 10 games at the STAR position. With 40 tackles, he ranked fifth on the Vols

defense. In 2023, he also had an interception.

Over his four years as a Vol, he recorded 116 tackles and four interceptions. In the 2019 class, he was rated as a four-star prospect.

The initial news of McDonald’s anticipated transfer came from 247Sports.

De’Shawn Rucker, defensive back

De’Shawn Rucker joins a long list of defensive backs on Tennessee’s transfer portal. On December 11, he made his choice known on

social media.

Rucker mostly served as a defensive reserve and member of special teams. Throughout his tenure in Tennessee, he collected 13 tackles.

Back on defense Doneiko Slaughter

Defensive back Donieko Slaughter is anticipated to access the transfer site, as first reported by 247Sports.

Update: On Sunday, December 10, Slaughter declared he will be using the portal.

This season, Slaughter was supposed to contribute significantly for Tennessee, but a persistent foot issue hindered him. With 87

tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, six pass breakups, and an interception in 43 games, he concludes his career in Tennessee. He still has one

year left to be eligible; he was in the 2020 recruiting class.
