On Christmas Day, the NCAA transfer portal is completely open. Two well-known quarterbacks who entered the
portal were Florida State’s Tate Rodemaker and Arizona’s Jayden de Laura. A star cornerback in the SEC also
declared his intention to use the portal later in the day.
Daniel Harris, a four-star cornerback in the Class of 2023 who is a freshman for the Georgia Bulldogs, has decided to
transfer. Harris posted a long social media message announcing his plan to use the transfer portal.
The tweet was published on X, a website that was once known as Twitter, by the former defensive back for Georgia.
With three years remaining on my eligibility, I have chosen to use the transfer portal,” Harris stated. He gave thanks
to God, head coach Kirby Smart, and his Bulldog teammates. He also shared an hourglass emoji, signifying that he
still has a lot of time remaining.
Harris completed his education at Miami, Florida’s Gulliver Prep, a coed private school, before enrolling at Georgia.
According to the recruiting agencies at 247Sports, he was a four-star player. He was inside the Top 20 at cornerback
and placed 163rd nationwide in their aggregate rankings.
Programs like Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, and others offered Harris before he committed. Perhaps these are
schools to be on the lookout for.
It usually doesn’t matter how good or horrible the program is. These days, a player only needs to open the transfer
site to get what he feels is a better situation. This is the path.
