This weekend, an offensive lineman transferring from the SEC to Arkansas is scheduled to visit.
After registering on the NCAA transfer portal on Monday, Addison Nichols, a redshirt freshman offensive lineman
from Tennessee, is anticipated to arrive in Fayetteville late on Friday night and depart on Sunday.
According to Pro Football Focus, Nichols, who is 6 feet 5 inches and 327 pounds, participated in every game during
the 2023 regular season for the Vols and had an overall offensive rating of 61.3. In 2022, he participated in two
games as a freshman as well.
He can play both guard and center.
Rated as high as the No. 8 interior offensive lineman in the country by 247 Sports and the No. 111 overall prospect by
ESPN, he was a unanimous 4-star recruit.
As a senior at Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross, Georgia in 2022, he first chose the Vols over offers from
Florida, Ohio State, Georgia, Southern Cal, Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, LSU, Michigan, and other schools. Nichols
still qualifies for three more years.

Visit from Two Former Vols to Ole Miss
The Tennessee Volunteers have not fared well in the early returns via the transfer portal. Although they haven’t
recruited any players to their roster through the transfer portal and have lost nine players to it, their fortunes are
probably about to change. The transfer page is constantly changing as prospective prospects evaluate their favored
universities.
Among the candidates looking for new residences are two former Vols. On3 reports that defensive back Tamarion
McDonald and defensive end Tyler Baron will be visiting the Ole Miss Rebels today. It would be fascinating to watch
if that combo stays in the SEC because they produced a lot of plays for the Vols this season.
Football in Tennessee is almost done with the offseason. After finishing the regular season, the Vols are
concentrating on building their roster for the 2023 campaign. With all of the most recent NFL Draft announcements
and portal entries, Volunteer Country has the fans covered. The portal window is open from January 2 to December
4. Players will have to wait until May after spring practice to access the transfer portal if they do not transfer within
that time.
