The fact that the Las Vegas Raiders were playing without offensive cogs, tailback Josh Jacobs and left tackle Kolton
Miller, was lost in the craziness of their single-game scoring record 63-21 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in
Week 15 (the Las Vegas offense scored 49 points).
In the Raiders’ pivotal Week 16 matchup against the AFC West-leading Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, that doesn’t
seem to be the case. The game will begin at 10:00 a.m. PT.
According to The Athletic, interim head coach Antonio Pierce of Las Vegas stated on Wednesday that he would
anticipate both Jacobs and Miller to play against the Chiefs if he were a bettor. Naturally, that would be quite
beneficial. With a victory, the 9-5 Chiefs may secure the division. In a formula that incorporates a loss, the 6-8
Raiders might be eliminated from playoff contention.
In a defeat to Minnesota in Week 14, Jacobs injured his quadriceps. Despite having a short week, Peirce stated on
Wednesday that he was close to playing against the Chargers. Miller’s shoulder issue has kept him out of four of the
last five games. In Week 12, while playing the Chiefs, he made the injury worse again.
The other Raiders are defensive end Maxx Crosby, who is playing despite a knee injury, center Andre James (ankle),
and linebacker Divine Deablo (ankle). As the week goes on, we ought to learn more about their condition.
