former Pittsburgh Steelers lineman Kevin Dotson has signed a huge contract with the
Los Angeles Rams, keeping him in LA following a good season.
After playing just one season in Los Angeles, Dotson and the Rams reached an agreement on a three-year contract worth $48 million.
Before the regular season began, he was traded from Pittsburgh, where he was awarded the starting position on the West Coast. After
that, he rose to prominence as one of the NFL’s top guards, signing a lucrative two-year contract.
During his first three years in the league, Dotson, 27, started 30 games in Pittsburgh. After playing on the right side of the offensive
line in college, he switched to the left side for the Steelers, but he never seemed to get used to making the mental mistakes that come
with switching positions. Following several ankle injuries and expensive penalties, the team signed Isaac Seumalo, who stole Dotson’s
starting position and became tradeable.
Dotson received a 2024 fifth-round selection and a 2025 sixth-round selection in return for a 2024 fourth-round selection and a 2025
fifth-round selection.
Dotson played 95% of the offensive snaps for the Rams this season and started 14 games. After moving to Los Angeles, he returned to
playing right guard.
