Joey Slackman, a defensive tackle for Penn, was rumored to have canceled his planned official visit to Michigan
earlier on Wednesday. It now seems like Slackman has set sail for Michigan.
However, not long after that was revealed, national writer Chris Hummer of 247Sports sent Michigan a Crystal Ball
prediction, saying the Wolverines will recruit transfer from Western Kentucky, Upton Stout.
Stout is 247Sports’ fourth-best cornerback and the portal’s 39th-ranked player.
The 5-foot-9, 185-pound cornerback played his college ball at North Texas from 2020 to 2021. After that, he moved
to Western Kentucky, where he made an immediate impression on the team.
In ’22, he led the team with four interceptions and was seventh on the squad with 44 tackles. Despite playing in just
seven games this season, Stout managed 29 tackles and one interception.
In college, Stout shown his ability to play the safety position. However, Stout is considered a potential Mike Sainristil
successor at the nickel due to his stature and skill.
Stout has previously visited Ann Arbor, and based on reports, the Wolverines’ visit went really well. Michigan is

Additionally, Michigan is predicted by Crystal Ball to sign Maryland linebacker Jaishawn Barham.
