After former Kentucky and Texas A&M wide receiver Jordan Anthony committed to Sam Pittman and the
Razorbacks on Tuesday, the number of transfers to Arkansas increased to nine. After logging on to the site on
December 27, Anthony, who stands 5-10 and 160 pounds, claimed that the Hogs had extended an offer to him. The
team will host the swift receiver later this week.
Anthony signed with Kentucky in 2022 as a 447Sports Composite four-star out of Tylertown, Miss. Early in 2023, at
an outdoor meet, he ran a 10.16-second 100-meter dash to break the freshman record. After that, he moved to
College Station, where as a sophomore in 2023, he caught three passes for fourteen yards in three games.
Bobby Petrino, the new offensive coordinator for Arkansas who was also the offensive coach at Texas A&M this
season, made Anthony an offer and recruited him.
Three new wide receivers were added by the Hogs in the 2024 high school class: three-star Kross Johnson of New
Orleans, La., Holy Cross; four-star Ashton Bethel-Roman of Missouri City, Texas; and three-star CJ Brown of
Bentonville, Ark. The two wide receivers the Razorbacks have let go thus far are redshirt junior Bryce Stephens and
redshirt sophomore Samuel Mbake.
Along with Anthony, the Hogs have added four other transfers to their offensive line: Taylen Green, a quarterback
from Boise State; Andreas Paaske, a tight end from Eastern Michigan; Keyshawn Blackstock, a tackle from Michigan
State; Fernando Carmona, a tackle from San Jose State; and Addison Nichols, a Tennessee native, who will play
interior offensive lineman. Starting on Wednesday, the Razorbacks will entertain a number of more VIPs, or
prospective transfer targets, over the course of the remainder of the week.
