For the previous three years, the Michigan football team has possessed one of the top offensive lines in college
football; but, following this season, they will need to rebuild. The Wolverines will need to use the transfer portal to
add more talent because they will be losing a lot of quality at the offensive line of scrimmage. Football transfer from
Texas A&M Chase Bisontis is one athlete Michigan is after, and it appears the Wolverines have a strong chance of
obtaining him.
In recent years, Michigan football has experienced great success with offensive line transfers. Drake Nugent this
year, Olu Oluwatimi last year, etc. Their next big acquisition might be Chase Bisontis.
Brad Shepard of Bleacher Report commented, “LSU is making a lot of effort with Bisontis, and it’s still early in the
process, but he is a kid from New Jersey who might want to move closer to home.” “There are a few teams that could
provide him that opportunity: the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Penn State Nittany Lions, and Michigan Wolverines. The
Wolverines are a roll-of-the-dice selection for Jim Harbaugh’s club since they have regularly assembled the greatest
offensive line in the country.
Considering the amount of skill Michigan will lose, this would be a huge acquisition. This offseason, the Wolverines
need to hit the portal hard once more, and acquiring Bisontis might help.
Michigan has other plans, even though the transfer portal is currently open and receiving a lot of attention from
teams. On New Year’s Day, the Wolverines play Alabama in the College Football Playoff. The CFP is unquestionably
the team’s top focus at the moment, but the Wolverines may secure some commits before then.
