MotoGP has finally reached an agreement on a new three-year contract worth up to $1…….

Thanks to an agreement with the Government of Aragon, Motorland Aragon will host MotoGPTM for the following three years. This

guarantees the venue will hold the Aragon GP in 2024, 2025, and 2026, without interruption. This pledge was signed on Tuesday by

Motorland President Manuel Blasco and Environment and Tourism Minister Carmelo Ezpeleta of Dorna Sports.

Under the terms of the previous agreement, which was signed in 2022, Motorland was to host three Grand Prix events over a five-year

period. Since Motorland was not used for the event in 2023, the existing contract only provides for two Grand Prix events in 2024 and

2026. The number of Grands Prix has increased as a result of additional discussions between MotoGPTM and the regional

government, which is determined to reinvigorate and market the Aragon site.

This will need an extra eight million euros in investment from the Aragonese government and is contingent upon the terms already

stated in the contract. This sum is equivalent to Dorna’s charge for every Grand Prix event. Given that the circuit’s impact on the

region and the community as a whole significantly outweighs this amount, this increase represents the commitment of the Aragonese

government to the circuit and the territorial development it entails.

Based on an analysis of the activity of these facilities in the region and a study on the economic, reputational, and projection impact of

Motorland Aragon, the Aragon Institute of Development concluded that the circuit will have an economic impact of 47 million euros in

the years that Alcañiz hosts the MotoGPTM World Championship.

According to this data, each audience member who attends the event spends 463.5 euros during their stay and 211.20 euros every day.

The 5,568 participants—including the pilots, their teams, the GP organization, stewards, and workers—are also included in this figure.

Their average stay was 5.20 days, and their average weighted daily expenditure for lodging, meals, transportation, and other expenses

was approximately 93 euros.

Moreover, the global MotoGPTM Grand Prix and Motorland Aragon’s media projections have a 14.9 million euro economic impact.
