NEWS FLASH: Red Bull “certain” Verstappen isn’t going to give up…….

Verstappen has a contract with Red Bull Racing through the end of 2028, but in recent days, there has been a lot of discussion about

his future.

Just have a look at Turn 5" - Christian Horner on Max Verstappen's 'mind-blowing' pole lap at 2023 F1 Japanese GP

Max Verstappen’s father Jos and Horner got into a public altercation, which gave rise to rumors that the Dutchman may quit the team

early.

That was further supported by Red Bull motorsport advisor Helmut Marko’s declaration that he would not obstruct a transfer, and

Gerhard Berger’s opinion that, should Horner continue as team principal, the 26-year-old might be among several departures.

Verstappen himself downplayed the possibility of a move when he spoke to the media on Wednesday in Jeddah ahead of the Saudi

Arabian Grand Prix this coming weekend.

When asked about it, he responded, “As long as they perform, there is no reason also to leave.”

George Russell, Hamilton’s current Mercedes teammate, and Hamilton both questioned the move.

Hamilton guessed, “I couldn’t see why you would leave a car that was that good.”

Christian Horner, the team manager of Red Bull Racing, has now joined the discussion.

The 50-year-old and Verstappen Sr. have not been on good terms recently, and the latter avoided queries about whether their

relationship has improved when they were spotted chatting after the Bahrain Grand Prix.

After the race, Horner remarked, “there was a discussion, and I think everybody’s focus is very much on the future.”

The squad is fully committed to defending the two global titles that we have worked so hard to win.

In addition to the 55 victories that he has already earned, the team has won 114 races, and Max now shares the lead with Williams in

Grand Prix triumphs with three more world titles to come.

We therefore have a strong emphasis on the future. And as I mentioned, after the race in Bahrain, there were talks, and everyone is

excited.

Horner is optimistic that Verstappen will be involved for the remainder of his current deal, if not longer.

When asked if he anticipated his star driver to stay with Red Bull Racing, the team manager responded, “I’m certain that he will.”

He is surrounded by a fantastic crew, in my opinion. He has a lot of faith in that group. And collectively, we’ve accomplished a terrible

lot.
