Sergio Perez is not going to retire anytime soon, so when his contract with Red Bull expires at the conclusion of this season, he will be

pressing for a new one.

Red Bull stated two years ago that their Mexican driver will be signing a new two-year contract with them for the 2023 and 2024

seasons, following their victory in the Monaco Grand Prix. However, the first year was tainted by conflict and gossip.

Despite Perez’s two victories in the first four races of the season, he failed to finish on the podium and, by the time the summer break

arrived, all he was shouting at his team-mate Max Verstappen, who was winning ten straight races.

The rumor mill in Formula 1 was quite active, with fans and analysts urging Red Bull to fire Perez and Helmut Marko criticizing the

driver, neither of which helped to defuse the situation.

Nevertheless, Red Bull honored Perez’s contract after he finished second in the season, and he returned to the grid with them this

year, where he has twice finished in second place behind Verstappen.

Horner, who is now ranked second in the championship, has declared that Checo should lose the Red Bull seat. He is our 2024 driver

and the one we support. We wouldn’t hesitate to keep him on till 2025 if he performs admirably.

Perez, 34, would like to sign the deal because he has no plans to retire anytime soon.

He told The Athletic, “Every Sunday after the meeting (with my engineers), I go home, and I’m like, ‘F—, I love this thing,’ because it’s

just something amazing to be able to communicate with this level of engineering, with this level of drivers, working alongside Max,

with the best engineers in the world.”

“I’m unique. In contrast, I want to watch my four children grow up because I have a family of my own.

“As kids reach specific ages, I want to be really involved, enjoy life with them, and encourage them to pursue their aspirations.

whatever the dream may be. I wish to share in their aspirations.

The fact that my youngest son gets to see me race is one of my inspirations, even though I know I won’t be here forever.

“Therefore, retirement is not going to happen very soon.”
