The Tennessee Titans’ game on Monday is iffy for linebacker Jerome Baker, who is regarded as week-to-week
following a knee injury he sustained against the Washington Commanders. Baker was replaced by Duke Riley, but
the only other healthy linebackers on the team are David Long Jr. and Channing Tindall.
The Miami Dolphins are reportedly adding depth to their 53-man roster by signing Calvin Munson, a member of
New England’s practice squad, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss. Munson would be joining the Dolphins for the third
time, and this would be his second tour through the Patriots practice squad.
As a rookie in 2017, he has two sacks and one forced fumble in his career. The former linebacker for San Diego State
has played in 45 games, three of which were in 2023.
After the 2017 NFL Draft, Munson, 28, signed a free agent contract with the New York Giants. On October 8, 2018,
he signed his first contract with the practice squad of New England. On December 18, 2019, about a year later,
Miami signed him off the practice squad.
Munson was signed by the Patriots on October 27, 2021, off of Miami’s practice squad. On December 14, he was
waved; the following day, the Dolphins claimed him. Munson was placed on injured reserve on August 29, 2022.
Miami released him on October 10.
On October 12, 2022, Munson rejoined the New England practice squad. He was brought back to the team’s practice
squad on August 29, 2023, after being waived on his reserve/future contract that he had signed in January.
