SAD NEWS: Alabama star is confirm dead……….

Ahead of the College Football Playoff, talk surrounding Nick Saban’s future as head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide is dominating the conversation. Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports shared the most recent rumors that coach Nick Saban would retire this offseason. In this scenario, the college football insider thinks Oregon head coach Dan Lanning would be a great contender to succeed Nick Saban at Alabama.

In a story published on December 31, 2023, titled “Why Alabama’s Nick Saban, Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh could both move on after this College Football Playoff,” Dodd said, “In fact, speculation has spread to include who might replace Saban.” “Dan Lanning of Oregon, who demonstrated his abilities as an SEC coordinator and recruiter at Georgia (assistant coach from 2018–21) and Alabama (graduate assistant in 2015), may have to get the first call.”

Lanning had held head coaching positions at Georgia and Alabama in the SEC before accepting the Oregon position. With the Ducks, the coach has recorded consecutive seasons with ten wins. Lanning’s record in his first two seasons at Eugene is an outstanding 21-5.

According to Barrett Sallee of CBS Sports, Lanning inked a six-year, $45 million contract extension with the Ducks during the previous summer. As a result of the Ducks winning ten games, Lanning’s extension will now expire in 2030, according to Oregon Live.

In a report published on November 18, Oregon Live’s James Crepea stated, “Dan Lanning earned a 1-year contract extension at Oregon thanks to No. 6 Oregon beating Arizona State.”

“Oregon’s 10th regular season victory earned Lanning, who in July signed a contract extension with a raise, a one-year extension through January 2030 valued at $8.2 million in salary plus $1 million in deferred compensation.”

The rumor stems from Dodd’s assertion that over the past month, there has been an increasing amount of discussion over Saban’s future. According to The Athletic, Saban inked an eight-year, $93.6 million contract in 2022 that is expected to last until 2030.

“In the meantime, there has been a lot of talk about Saban’s retirement,” Dodd said. Will the all-time great college football coach really give thought to retiring? Within the last thirty days, an agent informed CBS Sports that his phone had been ringing nonstop, leading him to believe that Saban might be out of the picture.

It’s no secret that Saban prefers to go out on top whenever possible and at his convenience. The fact that Bill Belichick, his guru, is having the opposite experience must be worrisome.

In Belichick’s 24th season, the New England Patriots have fallen to a 4-12 finish. According to a close personal friend of Nick Saban, Alabama’s coach is fully aware of the developments in New England.

Bruce Feldman of The Athletic suggested Colorado head coach Deion Sanders as Saban’s potential replacement earlier in the season. It’s crucial to remember that during Colorado’s jubilant opening month of the season under Coach Prime, this proposal was made. Feldman pointed out that Sanders wouldn’t hesitate to take Saban’s place as a legend.

Feldman said, “I know one guy who would, and that’s Deion Sanders,” on a September 27 edition of the podcast “The Audible.” “There is no doubt in my mind that Deion Sanders would be the ideal choice to succeed Nick Saban or John Wooden.”
