With Super Wild Card Weekend behind us and the NFL Divisional Round drawing near, the NFL playoffs continue. Here is the NFL
injury roundup following the Wild Card Games, with only eight teams remaining in the hunt for the Super Bowl championship.
In the Texans’ victory over the Browns, Noah Brown only played five snaps and had one target from CJ Stroud before suffering a
shoulder injury and leaving the game. Brown’s injury was also expensive since it will keep him out of the NFL playoffs for the duration
of his time on injured reserve.
Brown, after Nico Collins, Tank Dell (who is also sidelined for the season), and tight end Dalton Schultz, was the fourth-best pass-
catcher for the Texans this season. Because of this injury, John Metchie, Robert
Packers CB Jaire Alexander: Following the game, head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters, via ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, that he “doubted
Jaire Alexander would’ve gone back in if they needed him after his ankle injury.” Star cornerback Jaire Alexander left the Packers’
upset of the Cowboys on Super Wild Card Weekend due to an ankle injury. Alexander’s ankle seems to be in poor shape based on that.
but he will probably play on Saturday as the NFL playoffs continue.
Packers LB Enagbare Kingsley
For Kingsley Enagbare, the Packers’ pass rusher, the news is not as favorable. He had a knee injury during the Cowboys game, and he
did not come back. Following the injury, Demovsky claims he was “visibly distraught” in the locker room, and LaFleur states that
Things “don’t look good.”
Alex Anzalone, LB, Lions
The shoulder injury sustained by linebacker Alex Anzalone by the Lions against the Rams is the sole new ailment. But Dan Campbell
claimed the LB is “tough” after the game, implying he should be OK for the Divisional Rounds.
The other big question mark on the team is rookie sensation Sam LaPorta, who returned from a knee injury to play, so he should be
OK. We now only need to wait and see if Kalif Raymond will return after missing Super Wild Card Weekend.
Chiefs of Kansas City DT Derrick Nadi
Derrick Nnadi, a defensive lineman, exited the Chiefs-Dolphins game with an elbow injury and did not come back. There is no
information on his status for the Bills game as of Tuesday afternoon.
