The Buffalo Bills suffered a devastating postseason loss to the Kansas City Chiefs once more, which has many wondering what the
future holds for the organization. The retention of standout wide receiver Stefon Diggs by the organization for the foreseeable future is
one of the concerns Buffalo is trying to resolve. But based on a recent rumor that the team is taking an unexpected turn, it appears like
the Bills management may be bracing for the opposite.
NFL expert Peter King reports that Diggs’ big deal will likely be significantly restructured by Buffalo, and the star receiver won’t be
pleased about it. Many observers speculated that Diggs would soon be on a different team due to a number of rumors suggesting the
receiver might wish to leave Buffalo following some unrest in the locker room. However, these speculations started to fade as the
season progressed and the squad started to play much better, and it was anticipated that the receiver would stay with the club for a
long time.
Since joining the NFL in 2015, Diggs has established himself as one of the best receivers in the league. The talented wide receiver was
able to improve each year while playing for the Minnesota Vikings from 2015 to 2019, before to moving to Buffalo. One of the top wide
receivers in the NFL, he has over 1,000 yards receiving every year since joining the Bills.
King claims that the receiver will be eligible for a $27.9 million cap figure for the upcoming season. This seems a little high for a player
who hasn’t had a game with 100 yards or more in 13 straight games. Despite having a strong start to 2023, Diggs’ output drastically
decreased, which raised the possibility that Buffalo might want to trade away the
It appears more probable than not that Diggs will sign with a new team during this summer, even if nothing is official yet. That being
said, the receiver will almost certainly play out his career with the Bills if he is okay with the organization renegotiating his deal and
perhaps taking a pay cut. Do you believe Diggs will sign with another club in 2024, or will he and the Bills management reach a deal to
stay with the franchise?
