campaign.

Although practice is just the first event of the weekend, Mercedes welcomed this unexpected and welcome opportunity as they have
struggled with their car’s handling and lack of speed in the last two seasons. Hamilton has been complaining about his uncompetitive
machinery for the past two years, battling cars that were more positively nasty than resistive. However, he had as good of a start as
could be expected on Thursday. Hamilton will depart Mercedes for Ferrari the following season.
