Max Verstappen is the target of a wave of vitriol after his refusal to allow teammate Sergio Perez to pass him during the Brazilian
Grand Prix incident. His mother has now started criticizing Perez on Instagram.
Max Verstappen’s mother, Sophie Kumpen, accessed Instagram and thought it would be a good idea to spread hate and rumors
against her son’s Red Bull teammate.
“And then in the evening cheating on his wife,” she said in response to a post about Perez, which was clearly a reference to the boat
party that Perez went to after the race with a number of women. Later on, he expressed regret about it, calling it a “bad party”.
Though the comment was promptly removed, social media users rapidly shared screenshots of the post.
“I still find it hard to believe Max Verstappen’s mother shared this. So low, My goodness, what a horrible family they are all,” a person
wrote on Twitter.
“Max Verstappen’s mother ladies and gentlemen,” someone else said, attaching a screenshot of the comment.
Similar to Max, Kumpen has achieved great success in motorsport, having won the Formula A Andrea Margutti Trophy in 1995.
Verstappen has adopted this thirst for success, and as the 2022 season draws to a close, it won’t be long until he sets his sights on
winning the title in 2023.
Seeing how the Red Bull drivers behave will make the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix an intriguing event to watch. Mercedes will likewise have
supporters cheering them on as they aim for yet another 1-2 triumph.
