Ty Bracey claims that if Jacob Ramsey is let to leave Aston Villa in the summer, they will need to sign a “upgrade” for him.
Journalist David Ornstein of The Athletic revealed on January 29 that Newcastle United attempted to sign the 22-year-ol
January transfer window.
The English midfielder is also wanted by Tottenham and Bayern Munich, he continued, but securing his services will cost more than
£50 million.
Bracey feels that even if the academy product hasn’t been able to replicate his season-ending form after returning from injury, Villa
should hang onto him for the time being.
Bracey stated, “If you read the articles, there was never anything pinpointing him actually leaving.” He was speaking exclusively to
Villa News. It concerned questions like “should he leave” and similar topics.Naturally, Newcastle refuted rumors that they were also
interested in him. Simply put, Villa wouldn’t want to lose a player like him in January.
“After recovering from his injuries, he hasn’t yet returned to his best self, but we know the player is still there. We should hang onto
him for the time being, in my opinion.
Everything relies on what
However, it seems like it’s one of those situations where we can’t let go of him and let someone worse in.
“We need to get an upgrade on him if he is going to be sold in the summer,” I would remark.
Regarding Jacob Ramsey, Aston Villa will have to make a choice.
While Ramsey isn’t a player Villa would likely want to trade, his homegrown status makes him arguably the best option if they need to
balance the books in the summer. However, this puts Villa in a tricky situation.
He has only managed to score one goal and assist one this season, as Bracey notes, showing that he hasn’t been able to return to his
best.
In the summer, clubs might try to sign the offensive midfield player at Villa Park for a low price, so it’s important to keep an eye on the
situation.
In other Aston Villa news, following the confirmation of a Villa player departure, Unai Emery might have gotten in touch with his old
team.
