Burnley and United ‘hold talks’ over forward
Pursuing promotions “Advanced discussions” are taking place between United and Burnley striker Manuel Benson. The Whites are
reportedly negotiating to sign the 26-year-old on a loan basis for the duration of the season, according to a report in Football Insider.
It’s thought that Hull City and Southampton have also shown a desire to bolster their rosters. Football Insider claims that after
defeating Swansea City, the Saints, who currently sit second in the Championship, had a loan bid for Benson worth more than £1
million approved. However, the transaction appears to have stalled, leaving United in the driver’s seat to sign the midfielder.
Daniel Farke, the Whites’ manager, is searching for offensive reinforcements to increase his team’s prospects of finishing in the top
two. Benson, who was instrumental in Burnley’s promotion to the Premier League the previous season, has lost favor at Turf Moor.
Regarding his long-term plans, Marc Roca is still evasive. At Real Betis, the Leeds United midfielder is presently on loan.
Although he has performed well for Manuel Pellegrini’s team in La Liga, he will be returning to Elland Road at the end of the current
campaign. “For me, returning to La Liga has been very positive in a great team like Betis,” Roca remarked in an interview with the
Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.
“I exist right now. I’ve lived in Munich, Leeds, and Seville during the past several years; we’ll see what the future brings. I want to be
the greatest professional, therefore I have my physiotherapist, psychologist, analyzer, and nutritionist.
