After winning the Monaco Grand Prix last weekend, videos of Formula 1 driver Sergio Perez partying with a group of unknown ladies
surfaced. As a result, Perez publicly apologized to his wife.
The Red Bull driver was spotted getting intimate with a brunette and dancing with a blonde on what looked to be a yacht in a number
of potentially troubling videos.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Perez declared that he accepts “full responsibility” for his behavior during what he refers to as “a bad
party” and joyfully asserts that he and his wife Carola Martinez are having the best relationship ever.
“I accept responsibility for the tapes that have been making the rounds about me. I have seen them. Even though I consider myself to
be a very strong person, it was still a dreadful party that I was unable to control “The Mexican wrote.
“Those who are close to me are aware of my morals and personality. For those who inquire, my wife and I are closer than ever.
“And I hope the best for those who only want to hurt us. I appreciate your love and forgiveness to everyone who has loved me; those
videos are in no way representative of who I am.
“We won’t discuss this.
Behind Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Red Bull teammate and reigning champion Max Verstappen, Perez is third in the drivers’
standings.
We can definitely excuse the 32-year-old for going a little crazy after winning his first race of the season in Monaco. He was later
rewarded with a new contract that would keep him with Red Bull until 2024.
“This has been an amazing week for me. Winning the Monaco Grand Prix is a dream come true for any driver, so it makes me very
happy to announce that I will stay with the team until 2024.” Perez remarked, “I feel so at home here now and I am so proud to be a
part of this team.”
“My relationship with Max [Verstappen], both on and off the track, is definitely helping drive us forward even more. We are working
very well together.” As a club, we have gained a lot of momentum this season, and I’m eager to see where it leads us all going forward.”
