This season, the Rose Bowl game is a part of the College Football Playoff, and the Alabama football team is getting
ready to play Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines. After defeating Georgia to win the SEC championship,
Alabama moved up to the No. 4 place in the field, leaving Florida State out.
Charlie Potter of On3 reports that running back Jase McClellan, who was injured in the SEC championship game, is
feeling much better and should be able to participate, which is wonderful news for the Crimson Tide.
“I feel completely. McClellan remarked, “I’m still getting time under me.” It’s even better because there are still a few
days until kickoff. It was growing accustomed to coping with the persistent agony. I’m still figuring that one out.”
Head coach of Alabama football Nick Saban also provided a significant update on McClellan’s probable availability
for the Rose Bowl game on Wednesday (via Austin Hannon of Bama Central).
“Jase is progressing well. It looks fantastic. We took a long time off to help him recover his foot, and it seems to have
worked.
McClellan has amassed 803 yards and six touchdowns this season, making him the team’s top rusher for Alabama
football. In the SEC championship game, Roydell Williams replaced him and finished with 16 carries for 64 yards
and a touchdown.
A fascinating no-iPad policy has also been instituted by the Alabama football team as a precaution in the wake of the
Michigan scandal. Even so, McClellan’s return to the field would be crucial since it would mean a trip to the national
championship game.
