Following the 2021 season, the Green Bay Packers made the decision to let go of the three-time pro bowl player.

Smith got a contract with the Cleveland Browns after his time with the Vikings. That’s the situation we have in 2023.

It was reported today that Smith will need to pay close to $20,000.

Za’Darius Smith, a defensive end for the Browns, was fined $16,391 for hitting Bears quarterback Justin Fields at the

end of the first half of the game on Sunday.

Even though a penalty wasn’t given, it happened during a Hail Mary attempt to close out the first half.

He has played for the Ravens, Packers, Vikings, and most recently, the Browns during his professional career. He

totaled 256 tackles, 53.5 sacks, 9 forced fumbles, and 256 tackles throughout his career.

Smith’s two seasons of 26.5 sacks in 2019 and 2020 represented the finest run of his career. In eight games thus far

in 2023, he has recorded two sacks.
