Aaron Rodgers led the Green Bay Packers as their quarterback for many years.
Whether you love him or hate him, the new quarterback for the Jets is undeniably one of the best signal callers to wear green and gold, and his achievements when he was in Green Bay will live on in legend.
In 2008, after serving as Brett Favre’s backup quarterback for the first three years of his NFL career, Aaron Rodgers took the starting position for the Packers. He won the MVP award for the 2010 season after leading them to victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV. In addition to winning league MVP awards in 2011, 2014, 2020, and 2021, he was named Associated Press Athlete of the Year in 2011. Joining Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Joe Montana, Jim Brown, and Aaron Rodgers as the only players to win NFL MVP in back-to-back seasons is Rodgers.
Throughout his career, Aaron Rodgers has led the NFL in touchdown-to-interception ratio six times (2011, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2020, 2021), lowest passing interception percentage six times (2009, 2014, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021), passer rating four times (2011, 2012, 2020, 2021), touchdown passing percentage four times (2011, 2012, 2020, 2021), total touchdowns three times (2011, 2016, 2020), touchdown passes twice (2016, 2020), yards per attempt once (2011), and completion percentage (2020).
With a regular-season career passer rating of over 100 (the first to ever have a rating over 100), Aaron Rodgers leads the NFL’s all-time list of passers. During the 2010s, he also had the best touchdown-to-interception ratio, the lowest passing interception percentage, and the highest passer rating in NFL history.
There is more to his achievements with the Packers.
He ranks fourth in passing yards, fifth in all-time passer rating, and second in touchdown passes and touchdown-to-interception ratio during the postseason. With a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 4.52 in the regular season, he retains the league record for lowest career interception percentage (1.4%) and highest single-season passer rating (122.5). In addition, Rodgers has won the ESPY Award for Best NFL Player four times.
The former Packers quarterback and wide receiver Davante Adams forged a bond from 2014 to 2021 that elevated the team to the top of the NFL for a number of seasons.
Three of Adams’ seasons with his former Packers quarterback saw him surpass 1,000 yards receiving, including two absurd efforts in 2020 and 2021 during Rodgers’ back-to-back MVP seasons. With 115 receptions for 1,374 yards and an astounding 18 touchdowns, Adams finished 2020 on a high note. After that performance, he caught 123 passes for 1,553 yards and 11 more touchdowns, setting a career-high.
Beyond the 1,000+ yard seasons. Davante Adams surpassed 800 yards receiving in three other campaigns with Rodgers as his quarterback, including two where he was literally three yards short of the 1,000 yard mark finishing with 997 yards in 2016 and 2019.
