Surprisingly, the Celtics lose their miniseries against the Hawks 0-2 and head out of Atlanta. However, Boston needs to move on fast
after Dejounte Murray made the game-winning shot to lead Atlanta to a 123-122 overtime victory on Thursday.
The C’s will take on the New Orleans Pelicans in the Big Easy on Saturday. The hosts rank sixth in the Western Conference standings
with an overall record of 45-28, including 7-3 in their previous 10 games against.
After going into the game without at least one first unit player since March 7, it appears like the visitors’ starting lineup will be intact
for the second straight game, according to their preliminary injury report.
But Jaden Springer, who was also sidelined for Thursday’s game because of tendinopathy in his left knee, will not be available for the
Celtics.
JD Davison is also out of the game on Saturday after spraining his left ankle in a G League game on Wednesday. Neemias Queta and
Drew Peterson, two other two-way players, will also be out on Saturday.
Regarding the Pelicans, Jose Alvarado (right oblique strain) and Brandon Ingram (left knee contusion) are sidelined. Dyson Daniels is
expected to participate despite recuperating from a left knee injury.
