“Those guys talk through everything, so there’s always a chance,” Shanahan said in a conference call with Bay Area media on Monday

Shanahan claimed that when watching tape from the 49ers’ 33-22 victory, he became aware of the transaction involving one of the

best teams in the NFC West. On Monday Night Football in Week 10, the 49ers take on the Rams.

Von Miller is not someone you want to throw into the mix when you have to play against them, Shanahan added. However, that is a

reality of this league and what goes on. You must always be prepared for everything.

“I am aware that Von is an excellent player, and he will undoubtedly assist them.”

Since Shanahan and general manager John Lynch assumed leadership of the 49ers five seasons ago, the team has made two

noteworthy trade deadline transactions.

Jimmy Garoppolo, the quarterback, was acquired by the 49ers in 2017 in exchange for a second-round draft pick from the New

England Patriots. In a move that helped the 49ers win the NFC West and go to the Super Bowl, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders was

acquired by the team from the Denver Broncos two years later.
